Happy Birthday Grace Church!

Friday, March 27, 2020 is the 149th anniversary of the founding of Grace Episcopal Church, which was the fourth parish established by the Diocese of Central New York. At the time of its founding, Grace Church occupied a small frame building at the corner of University Avenue and Madison Street. The cornerstone of the present building was laid on June 16, 1876.
2021 is a big year for Grace–its 150th anniversary! Watch for celebrations and reflections throughout the year.

This is in the tradition of Blessed David Pendleton Oakerhater, who served his congregation in Oklahoma in times of struggle and hardship. He is remembered as a warrior and a chief, because he always fed his people, and he always put himself last. May we honor his memory by keeping that spirit alive.
